Application of silicone oil in various fields

Dimethyl silicone oil is the most common type of silicone oil, and it is the type with the largest amount and the widest application range. In China, the product name of methyl silicone oil is 201 series, and that of Dow Corning Corporation is DOWCORNING and XIAMETER. The main models are PMX. -200 series; Germany's WACKER company's brand name is AK series; Japan's SHIN company's brand name is KF series. China's domestic methyl silicone oil production companies are: Blue Star Jiangxi Spark, Yichang Colin Silicon Materials Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Xinan Chemicals, Guangzhou Tianci, Shandong Dayi Chemicals, and Jiaxing Kerui Silicones.

Another widely used phenyl silicone oil is a product obtained by replacing a part of methyl groups with phenyl groups. According to the difference in phenyl content, it can be divided into the following categories: Low phenyl silicone oil (molar fraction of phenyl groups is 5% ～10% ); Medium phenyl silicone oil (phenyl molar fraction 25%); High phenyl silicone oil (phenyl molar fraction 45%); High phenyl low molecular weight silicone oil (phenyl molar fraction higher than 45%); Type phenyl silicone oil.

Various ethyl ethoxy silanes are hydrolyzed in the presence of hydrochloric acid and condensed to polysilyl ether. After molecular rearrangement and fractionation under vacuum, various ethyl silicone oils with different viscosities can be obtained. Used as a release agent for a variety of rubber and plastic products. This product is of low volatility, small surface tension, non-toxic, non-corrosive, anti-aging, and can be formulated into different viscosity according to the needs of use. Widely used as insulation material for electrical industry, precision instrumentation oil, hydraulic oil, special lubricants, etc.

Hydroxy silicone oil can be used as structural control agent for room temperature silicone rubber production and chain extender for other products. Currently, it is mainly produced by Wacker Chemicals, Contrust Chemicals, Hubei Longma, Lanxing, Zhejiang Hengyecheng and other enterprises.

Amino silicone oil is an essential component of textile softeners. It is mainly produced by companies such as Dow Corning, Bluestar, Shandong Dayi Chemicals, Demerkow, and Yichang Colin. Dow Corning's commercial brand name is mainly the OFX series, Momentive's business brand number is mainly TSF4708, Shin-Etsu's business brand number is DC-8209A.

Hydrogen silicone oil from domestic manufacturers uses the 202 series name. At present, there are dozens of domestic companies that produce hydrogen-containing silicone oil. In addition to Zhejiang Hengyecheng, Lanxing, and Xinan Chemicals, the production capacity of other companies is below 4000 tons/year. Dow Corning's hydrogen-containing silicone oils are mostly the MHX series, and Momentive's is the TSF series. Shin-Etsu's business brands are mostly KF-99 series.

Vinyl silicone oil is a base compound for the production of liquid adhesives and silicone gels. At present, major domestic manufacturers include: Blue Star Fire, Zhejiang Xin'an Chemical Group, and Zhejiang Runhao. The amount of other companies is relatively small.

Among the modified silicone oils , the polyether modified silicone oil has the largest amount and is used in a large amount as a foam stabilizer, a fiber oil agent, a fabric finishing agent, a cosmetic raw material, a coating leveling agent, an antifoaming agent, a pesticide spreading agent, and the like; Fluorosilicone oil has good weatherability, lubricity, and oleophobicity due to the common advantages of both siloxane and fluorocarbon compounds. It should be widely used in the fields of aerospace, automotive, electromechanical and electronic machinery.
